KERNEL UVB LAMPS
UVB light lamps have helped thousands of patients worldwide to treat vitiligo and psoriasis.

Although it is designed for a therapy for consumers at home, the device is also used by many professional dermatologists, clinics and hospitals around the world.

The treatment can be done in a short time by exposing yourself to the lamp light for 4 minutes, and is done 3 to 4 times a week for each treated area.

To use it, simply place it in front of the affected area.
Positive results have been seen in just one week, however results may vary from one individual to another, and the severity of the condition.
We recommend that you visit your dermatologist to consult the complete treatment before use.

How to use the UV-B lamp 311nm.

UVB light therapy, narrow band 311-315nm, consists of applying targeted UV light to the area of skin affected by Vitiligo, psoriasis, acne or rash.

Don't forget to wear anti-UV sunglasses to protect your eyes from the unwanted effects of UV radiation.

It is recommended to start with 30 seconds on the first day of use, gradually increasing the exposure time by 10 seconds a day; this means that after 10 days of using the UVB lamp, you will be reaching 2 minutes of exposure, and after 20 days it would be 4 minutes of daily exposure of the affected skin area, but remember that doctors are the ones who must keep a tighter control during this time.

A rest day is recommended between treatment days (i.e. use the lamp only 4 days a week, with one day breaks in between, but if you are applying any psoralen or medication to your skin before exposure to the lamp, then it is recommended to do so 3 days a week, as some medications can increase skin sensitivity, and as PUVA therapy can cause skin burns within 72 hours, continuous daily treatment should be avoided).

HOW FAR SHOULD THE LAMP BE PLACED FROM THE SKIN TO BE TREATED?

Keep the UVB hand lamp approximately 3 cm from the skin surface, for best results.

Do not exceed the time of exposure to UVB rays for more than 4 to 5 minutes / day, because the area of skin exposed in excess may become irritated, reddened.
Do not expose yourself to the sun during the days of treatment, because the sun will amplify the effect of the UV rays on the skin.

If it is impossible not to expose yourself to the sun during the days of UV treatment, protect your skin, including the affected areas with a high UV protection factor cream, recommended by your dermatologist.

Care after treatment:

Since UV treatment can dry out the skin, it is recommended that you apply moisturizer to the treated area and avoid excessive sun exposure.
When using PUVA therapy, after treatment, cleanse all drug-coated skin and apply a light-protective agent.

Home phototherapy has gained ground in recent years, being a serious alternative to excessively expensive treatment in clinics, but with the same beneficial effect.
